DENVER — The Denver Nuggets lurched into the midpoint of their season with all the grace of the Portland jogger who ate it moments after she claimed she was running around on "perfect texture" snow. On Wednesday, the Nuggets suffered perhaps their worst loss of the season, a 110-97 defeat at home against the Atlanta Hawks. Morale was low afterward.

“Overall, the message was, 'You guys are full of shit if you want to talk about playoffs and go out and play like that,'" coach Michael Malone said.

Denver has hit a rough patch, but that doesn't the first half of the season was all bad. Here are five things we've learned about the 2017-18 Nuggets 41 games in.
