BOULDER - Unicorns are all the rage today in the NBA, though finding a rare enough multi-faceted talent that fits the bill is close to impossible.
Sitting in front of Denver Nuggets general manager Arturas Karnisovas and several other NBA big heads, we got a live look at basketball’s next unicorn—Arizona big man DeAndre Ayton.
The first thing that stood out is how Ayton had no weaknesses, not just as a big man but as a basketball player. Which was obvious to see when watching everyone on the floor who had clear physical, size or skill limitations. The only knocks on Ayton are minor and can be easily explained away as related to his age and still relevant inexperience.
